1st National Search for THE OUTSTANDING PRINCIPALS (TOP)
Rationale
Shape. Change. Inspire.
The school manager’s role is complex and vital. Beyond educational leadership, the school manager oversees all other aspects of school operations—administration, financial management, marketing, human resource development, community relations, even security and maintenance. Now more than ever, school managers face seemingly insurmountable challenges—the lower paying capacity of parents affected by the economic crisis, declining student performance, and the lack of good teachers, among others.
In the midst of such trials, Filipino principals still manage to lead their schools to excellence. It is to recognize such courageous and dedicated efforts that AHEAD Professional Network (AHEADPro), a division of AHEAD Learning Systems, Inc., established the Ten Outstanding Principal (TOP) Awards.
The Award
TOP recognizes the exceptional efforts of school principals in catalyzing positive change in their respective school communities. The award aims to serve as an inspiration to school managers as they strive to mentor their teachers and mold their students into well-rounded and innovative global citizens amidst social pressures, financial limitations, and environmental challenges.
School principals active in the said capacities during schoolyear 2012-2013, having served in the same capacity for at least three years prior to the said schoolyear, are eligible for the award and should be nominated by their respective schools. AHEADPro will not accept nominations submitted by individuals.
